Postdoctoral Research Associate in Plant Evolutionary Genomics, University of Gothenburg
I’m a postdoctoral researcher based at the University of Gothenburg and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. My work focuses on using genomic techniques, primarily population genetics and phylogenomics, to understand how plants have responded to past human activity such as selective management and trade. My main species of interest of relevance to the BLADEN project are Attalea cohune (the cohune palm) and Theobroma cacao (cacao). I recently finished my PhD at Imperial College London and RBG Kew, which was primarily focused on using genomic and ecological data to understand the role of hybridisation in plant speciation on a remote oceanic island.
